The Architecture of Medicine

I'm finishing up my final quarter of studies at the Art Institute and along with ending courses like Portfolio and a video class called Time-Based Media, I was able to study Architecture along with the intricacies of photographing buildings and structures.

Assignments had us working on images of residential properties, commercial structures, historical buildings, and interiors, but our final project was open to whatever we cared to photograph. I decided the theme for my final set of architecture images would be to study the structures of hospitals around the DFW Metroplex.

I've always been fascinated with the architecture used in these buildings even as I disliked visiting the places themselves. These buildings are filled with sickness and can be gloomy in mood, but the architecture is always modern and features a lot of windows to let sun in.
